Shogun the miniseries

How many of you have seen this? I haven't watched it since it aired on TV in the early 80s but it was a ground breaking show at the time and I loved it. I would, very much, like to see Shogun again but I am worried I will disappointed this far into the future. Have any of you watched it lately and what were your thoughts? I remember when it aired Richard Chamberlain was still thought to be a lady's man

It was on one of the Encore channels a couple of months ago. It still holds up well, even if some of the more dramatic scenes are a little cheesey.

Yeah I was pissed that I missed this. I saw it with my Dad sometime in the late 80s or early 90s and I've been wanting to watch it again ever since.
