UCLA has scored 11 total runs in 4 games. Of those 11, 7 have been unearned. They are one win away from a Nat'l Championship. I'd say they are pretty damn lucky.

Please explain how this big park made Bregman go 0-8. The same guy who had 98 singles, doubles and triples prior to getting to Omaha ... and only 6 HRs.

Bregman choked. It had nothing to do with the park. Why even bring that up as if youre making some type of point.

What a bunch of bitches on here. I bet the same posters who think UCLA's style is boring, slow, no offense are the same that thought the 9-6 Bama game was the greatest football game ever.

good point

Their pitching staff has allowed four runs in FOUR games.

Their is nothing lucky in that, but there is a lot of great pitching going by their staff.

Get over it. They are playing damn good baseball and at the right time.

Plutko drafted in the 11th round, maybe MLB underestimated him. Prior to last nights' W:

"You're talking about, I think, one of the best one-two combinations in the country that people still are not quite talking about," UCLA coach John Savage said. "You talk about the body of work of two guys and what they've done, I'd like to find two other guys who have had that type of work throughout their careers."

Their records are, indeed, impressive.

Plutko, UCLA's Friday starter the past two seasons, is 28-10 with a 2.37 ERA in three seasons. The 21-year-old has been even more impressive during the postseason, where he is 6-0 with an 0.87 ERA and one shutout in seven starts. His ERA is the lowest in school history among pitchers with at least 12 playoff innings.

Vander Tuig is 26-12 with a 3.27 ERA in his three-year career, which included a freshman stint as a part-time closer. The 21-year-old also been solid in the postseason, going 5-2 with a 2.54 ERA in nine games (six starts)."

LINK

UCLA's D has been rock solid. They can scratch runs. They make opponents nervous after a few innings and are the real deal.

This shite comes off as butthurt LSU fans.

But deciding that playing softball is what it takes to win the baseball CWS is fricking retarded.

Anyone that can't differentiate between the two are just stupid.
