Seems fitting with all the end of the Hornets era nostalgia.

Byron Scott was fired today by the Cavaliers, a league source told the Akron Beacon Journal, one day after completing his third season in charge. He departs with a 64-166 record and his .278 winning percentage is the lowest in team history among all coaches (minimum one full season).

Note they had to give this qualification.
Coaches did worse in the Cavs' history, but Ted Stepien tended to switch coaches with the frequency of a cheap ham radio during his reign of suck as owner.

Didn't they hire him to try to appease LBJ into staying with them?

Byron Scott's career coaching record: 416-521
Winning percentage of .444
He did coach the Nets, Hornets, and Cavs but damn

Two or three seasons of roughly 20-62 will do that to you.
His first season with the Hornets was piss-poor, as were at least two of his seasons with the Cavs.

The rumor is that he'll be reuniting with Jeff Bower at Marist.
