Why do you think Jennings is a "dual threat"? Have you watched video of either?

guessing he got the dual threat from AJ's Rivals profile. also willing to bet anything he didn't do much research beyond that (like his Scout profile or 247 which lists him as a pro style), let alone watch video.

Ideally you want John Elway, Aaron Rodgers or a college version of Collin Klein. Guys who can thrown and run if needed.

Klein is a poor passer. If not for his run first mentality and the general KState offense, he would rarely have success throwing the ball. He has a noodle arm and does very little reading of the defense on passing routes.

That is what Miles wants, ideally, yeah. A guy who can throw the ball first, but is a good enough athlete to run those spread packages we have in the playbook and open up the offense that way too.

He wants a true dual threat qb. someone who if the the play breaks down can pick it up with his legs, but can stand tall and sling it.

He hasn't had one here..well Perrilloux was going to be that, but he screwed it up.

Jennings looks to be that type.

I stay plenty informed in Dallas...Dallas has the most Louisiana natives living outside of Louisiana.

I thought the same thing also...But was told, Its great to have dual threat quarterbacks on the team for practice purposes too. When prepping for a game against such teams as, Oregon, TA@M, etc...its good to have someone on board who can immilate opponents...NOT saying Jennings is coming on board to be a practice QB. He is legit

a PRO STYLE QB and a Dual threat QB ?????

Actually both are PP style QBs. Maybe AJ is a better runner, but neither is really a dual-threat IMO...

Jennings is being recruited for his ability to step into the pocket and throw the football.

If he is athletic enough to run some option, Miles will use him in that capacity. But he is not being recruited for that ability.
