They didn't reinvent the wheel. I don't think this is any better than a SG1 episode.
Nothing wrong with that statement. The show DOES use almost the SAME formula. Plus I said I LIKED SG1 as do most of the sci-fi crowd on here.

And if you don't like that comparison, you are going to love this one....

Firefly is nothing more than the A-Team in space.

I just finished episode 10. Only 4 more to go. I'm really getting sad that it will soon end. I can already tell some things will be left unanswered like the preacher's backstory and the girl. Who right now seems completely pointless besides being a plot device.

Anyway, four more episodes and the movie then it's all over.

The movie helps tie it together, glad you're enjoying it though

the non explanation of shepard's backstory is one of the tragedies of our generation. you should be coming up on river's greatest episode.

I felt like they kind of give a nod to his unexplained back story in the movie. Maybe it's just my interpretation, and I don't want to spoil anything for you.

My opinion is that he fought for the Alliance in the war.

Wait, what?

OK, I googled it.

Inside TV First look

The Science Channel’s Browncoats Unite special airs Nov. 11 at 10 p.m. The one-hour program taped this summer in a hotel in San Diego when the cast was on hand for SDCC (and you remember how Firefly-gasmic that panel was, right?). The roundtable special, like the SDCC panel, is moderated by EW’s Jeff Jensen.

It's going to be on the Discovery Science Channel next month.

Starting to air Fringe also.

the only episode I tend to skip when I pop my DVD set in is the one where they help the brothel. I think its called Heart of Gold. Easily the worst episode IMO.

A friend of mine has been recommending this show to me for months. I finally gave in an watched last night 2 episodes in and I'm hooked.
