Too many people do not want to admit what anybody that opens their eyes can see.
Miles lost it in January in my book. Man had a chance to shut the Saban book and never even tried to win that game. Been standing around looking beyond inept since that game.
Way I figure it. Expect a loss and if they win, great. But never expect greatness from a Miles team. He will never have an undefeated BCSNC season.
Accept what we have - a mediocre, at best, head coach and a good recruiter that is a "nice" guy. We have some better than average D coaches along with an incompetent and overpaid OC, OL and QB coaching staff.
Doubt that the light bulb will suddenly go on in the 2nd half of the season but you never can tell.
In the meantime, Saban is working on his 3rd crystal in 4 years slightly to our East.

To the OP, you're being generous.

3 of the pts vs UF came after a turnover on the UF 7. We actually tried to go back some (deliberate delay of game penalty) to get a better FG angle. It's hard for me to credit the O for those three points.

Actually, I wouldn't count the second FG at Florida.

We started at the 7 yard line and gained 4 yards in 3 plays.

In our 2 SEC games, we've scored on opening drives. That leaves practically one FG to show for the other 7.5 quarters.

Watching Ole Miss use lesser talent, yet scheme ways to isolate personnel with a JUCO QB at the helm, and score 27 points in 3 quarters, is quite frustrating.

On a positive note, we did all that with lineman that won't be seeing the field tonight, for the most part. It can't be any worse, IMO. There's some young players that are going to get an opportunity tonight to become 3 year starters.

I'm hoping to find out some of what our future holds on the OL. We may have some gamers in this bunch. I don't need to see any more of some of the same shite I've witnessed since the end of last season from a couple of our ex-linemen. You have to question their level of commitment, IMO. But, I'm not sure how much help they've been given, either.

I as well.

I guess that is the question. Is LSU's talent so much better than that of Ole Miss? Either way, the HC is responsible. The lack of offensive development while LM has been at the helm is disappointing to say the least. This year, the offense has grown worse with each game. It just does not add up.

Just call me a sunshine pumper. That fact underscores the ongoing offensive futility about which CLM has done nothing dating back several years. But, for the rabid Ranter, we can go back just to 1/9/12 if you prefer.

So what? We've allowed 24 points scored on us?

Having an elite backhand alone will yield little success if you can't serve it over the net.

Or being able to return the serve isn't going a lot of good if the return goes outside the lines.

The talent is there. The coaching isn't.

When a coach is paid $4 mm a year but can't hire a competent OC and can't do the job himself, then the fans have a legitimate basis to question and criticize the HC.
But not according to Rant rules. On the Rant, all is well... all is well... all is well... And we all bundle.

Innovation or no, the line must block.

On a positive note, it should be relatively easy to double the scoring output tonight vs SEC defenses...

Excellent point! At least one can hope.
