I remember standing next to him and Stanley Roberts before a game. Huge men.

Got news for you. I hate to say it but guys or giants like Shaq don't live as long as the rest of us. It's shame.

Saw he was in the hospital, didn’t know why.
I think a hip might be a lot easier than a knee replacement.

He would do himself a huge favor to lose weight.

Easy for me to say.

He is such a good man, we need him to stay on this earth as long as he can.

There is no basis for this comment. Kareem is 75. Bill Walton is 70

They are both thin

NFL football players that don’t lose weight after retirement die 10 years younger than the average man.

From those I know that have had them done, this is correct.

From personal experience they get you up the same day and you walk with a walker. You go to therapy and use a walker about a month (or less for some) and just heal. Hips are really nothing like a shoulder or knee. Much much easier.

Yep got a hip and it is much easier recovery than a knee. Also hip pain is much worse than knee pain.

It maybe inappropriate but its a fact.
Plus being overweight places a huge burden on heart and joints.
I wish him well and a speedy recovery.
He has always been such a pleasant person.
