Is Jeff Head at first? He was home plate last night and was his usual level of garbage.

Edwards laughing as he's going to the dugout is basically him saying "screw you, you incompetent fricks"

All you can ever ask is be consistent.. all these dudes have done in 2 games are be consistently bad. No one knows where the zone is on both teams.

You would think technology would do away with umps making bad calls. But then again, they wouldn't be able to manipulate it if that was the case.

Put a chip in the ball and turn it over to the machines.

Auto balls and strikes can’t come soon enough to all levels of baseball.

It is actually. It’s the hardest part about watching college compared to MLB.

I wonder if any of them was part of the crew that couldn’t see that Jones homerun on replay a few games ago when he should have had 3 homers in a game. Today was bad but never in my life have I seen a ball go over fence, hit a railing, come back into the field, and then call it not a homerun. If that had been in Omaha people would have thrown beer cans on field

I don't like it when umpires are not consistent with balls and strikes, but I don't think people have any idea what they're asking for with the robot ump idea. I don't think it's going to be near as enjoyable as people think it'll be.

Robot umps would call that letter high strike, which is supposed to exist, but almost never is called... every time. Pitchers are going to live up there, and not many hitters can get on top of that. That's going to get real annoying watching that pitch get called a strike, because it shouldn't be. That's why umps don't call it, because I think they're fully aware of how unrealistic it is to expect hitters to go after that.

The only way I'll even entertain the idea of robot umps, is if they agree to lower the top of the strike zone.

Home plate umpire was probably the WORST I’ve ever seen.
