This is the perfect team for him to score 40 against.

Too bad he’s soft. It’s been 3 years. He is what he is. Great when he plays, if he plays, possibly, maybe.

He isn’t soft. Our training staff is soft. Remember when he hated the organization because they wouldn’t let him play? I will respond with this every single time I see someone call Zion soft. Put your hate where it is warranted.

Probably but they would've had our defensive rotations even more fricked up.

Yeah, he's definitely not soft but he has been injury prone in his young career, regardless of wtf has been going on this season.

Hope we can learn from this. Can’t get many wins against this quality of team without Zion.

We played really well in the second half of this game. The Celtics are the best team in the league and played a great game tonight, still only able to manage a single digit victory. I love what I saw from the Pelicans tonight.

Yeah but we would have scored alot more when it counted and gotten more fouls. The D rotations were already too messed up..it wouldn't have mattered if he messed it up.

Zion would have helped for sure getting to the foul line and hammering the paint for buckets, but the problem tonight was perimeter defense. Jose and Dyson getting more run early is going to pay off, but Zion is going to have to step up on the defensive side of the ball in order to not make it a wash.

Did anyone coming into this season truly think this team was literally best in the league??? Cause that’s what Boston has been

I’ve been one of the more bullish people(still am) but I pinned our final standing(barring injury) at seed 2-4 and probably not as great as that in the playoffs due to us wanting to win the reg season. Conf finals as the ceiling

This version of the Celtics would beat anyone in the West in the Finals. Frankly the only team I can see stopping them is a healthy Bucks

A fully realized Hayes makes up the gap. Val is not effective against bigs that space and its hard for Nance to be consistently effective as a rim protector or as a rebounder against teams that crash the offensive boards.

Downvotes are silly. Nothing wrong with what you said.
Doesn’t have a sustainable game. Will never play full seasons. Maddening.
Hope his contract doesn’t backfire.

Probably a 5-7 seed.
Pelicans will be lucky if Zion plays 45 games this season.
Not another LeBron impact level or generational player at this point. Chronic walking wounded.

If Zion wasn’t soft, wouldn’t he just say yeah my foot feels great and I’m good to go tonight?

No no. He and his mommy were mad he couldn't play last year after he left town and got to 350 lbs then got jealous the team was winning in the playoffs without him. Ask his pr reps.
