Most of the time I had a full-time job. When I wasn't working a group of us would sell plasma at the place down by the Prince Murat.

It paid more than the one on Chimes St.

If I went twice in a week I got something like $15 the first time and $17 the second time - roughly, it's been 40 years.

I did too, but I had some really steady football regulars. Alvin Lee was my favorite. He was a great guy.

OK, I am old.

A small place called Ken’s den right off campus. Paid on the pin ball machine. Most of the time paid for a great roast beef poboy and a few Buds on the longneck bottles. Had the food plan on campus.
Also part timed with campus police parking during big events. 67-69

Pumped gas at Deaf Valley Shell corner of Highland and State St and worked as a "Houseboy" at one of the Sorority Houses on Lakeshore Dr.

Pay wasn't great but the "scenery" made up for it

One summer I worked as a cocktail waiter for the Royal Orleans hotel in New Orleans. So, I know what you mean lol

Plus, I had available to me some of the best food you could get in New Orleans at that time.

Dissected bees and crickets at Dr. Woodring’s laboratory at the biology department! But between drinking with Lincoln at TAs Tavern and or gorge with George at the varsity theater, booze wasn’t that expensive!
