How do you know how profitable they are?
I notice this: I used to frequent 247. After they sold, they started detecting my ad blocker. I can’t use the site unless I turn it off. That’s one customer lost. However, 247’s profits probably soared, because a lot of folks started viewing ads.
I go to ON3, and they don’t bother with the ad blocker. They are maybe more concerned with getting the most visitors. They’ll harvest profits later, or let the buyer do it.

I don't, but I'm guessing Shannon Terry isn't on his second attempt to dismantle the site he also created as the top dog recruiting service for giggles.
With 247 it's okay, maybe he doesn't like what the new Rivals owner did with his baby, but when you do it again, that's clearly how you make a living.
