Looking at last week of April to go to Breck and Ski with the wife.

Anyone been there during this time? Does it suck or is it still good that late in the season?

Terrain will likely be reduced, but the skiing can be legit. And A Basin is close by...extra terrain there, too.

I live here. The mountain closes in tiers, so it may just be like the bottom half of Peak 8 open. It’s spring skiing. Which comes with the good and bad. But slush is better than Ice, and I’d rather ski on a 40 degree day than a -15 degree windchill day. Atmosphere is usually really great in the spring too. Less crowded, more locals.

Was planning on starting this very thread today. I am going to Breck in early Feb, PC in early March, and was going to try and squeeze one more Breck trip in April.

So, only half of 8 (or other Peaks) in your opinion would be open in April? No upper bowls open?

Likely will be very fun. I had some of my best days last season in April and May.

Spring skiing is the best. Although I typically think of spring skiing as the last two weeks of March and first week of April.

The end of April is highly dependent on the amount of snow on the mountain and any late season storms. Breck has closed as early as the third week of April, although the typical close is usually around the second week of May. If you are dead set on last week of April just be prepared to pivot to something else if for some reason the mountain does close early, fully or partially, or closes that week you are there.
