After going 11-1. The rant would melt.

ESPN is projecting them at 60%. Really only need one upset.

I could see the CFP leaving them off though because Kelly left, which is kinda hilarious

"The Rant" is one of the reasons you cant sit on news like this. The rumor mill is so out of control, it literally affects the coaching search.

I also think that you have an obligation to be up front with your team and let them decide if you will finish the season

25% of the fan base would be ecstatic since he lost a game. Another 25% would be ecstatic if he took the starting QB with him so the backup could start!

Even if Notre Dame made the playoffs, they sure as hell not beating Georgia if they ended with the #4 seed.

They have a great chance. Just need Bama to lose which is likely and then Michigan to lose to Iowa which is possible coming off the high of finally beating Ohio State. Or Baylor to beat Okie state which is also possible because you know Aranda will have a good game plan. Im expecting ND to get in to be honest.

Yes we would. And opposing fanbases would laugh. I completely understand the ND fan reaction to this and don't blame them, I'm glad we were on the right side of this.

But it's hard for me to have any actual sympathy for ND and their fans.

Actually Kelly leaving ND just saved him from the humiliation of losing horribly to UGA if ND does make the CFP.

I don't see a scenario where that would ever happen at LSU. Of course, I didn't think it could ever happen at Notre Dame either, but here we are.

Things have to fall a certain way this Saturday but ND is right in the mix.

Saban comes to mind. Not play off but close.
