It is unfolding to perfection, he is even playing us all like little fiddles. All of this is going on to make it seem like he had no choice but to hire Kiffin. He knew people would push back if he was the guy right away so now he is actually appearing to be the best case scenario. Well done Woody and I look forward to hoisting that trophy in 2 years

Or the Orgeron contract expires Tuesday so the announcement is made on Wednesday.

this is not a real reason. O and LSU have already agreed to part ways. The "official" end of his contract has literally no ability to prevent us announcing another HC.

Rhule is still in if Woodward is going by the expiration of the Orgeron contract.
Now if it is only based on them playing on Saturday, either Fickel or Aranda would be my guesses.

The expiration of the orgeron contract is completely and totally irrelevant to our announcement of our next head coach. By this logic, it would be impossible for a school to hire a coach out from under another school unless that school terminated the contract first. Bottom line: O's contract situation is completely irrelevant to the timing of our announcement.

Aranda just said, definitively, that it isn't him. From a presser a couple hours ago: "I’ve spoken with the team twice about my quirkiness and why that fits well here. I’m hopeful that we're past some of that speculation that I'm being tied to other jobs."
