If we end up with Campbell I will lose it. Please God no. You’re telling me we can’t get someone better than that? We just paid 17 M to fire our coach, just to replace him with the coach of Iowa State? Can he even recruit ? This just sucks. SUCKKKKKS

Campbell has no ceiling. He's probably only a slightly better Stoops. He's also a terrible fit for this university just by his personality. Would be an awful hire and just settling at that point. frick that. Throw the bank at Aranda to save us.
I still can't believe Rhule has no traction at LSU with the reports he wants out of NFL. He makes way too much sense for us not to reset the coaching market and excite the fanbase.

I would take him everyday of the week over Stoops, BoB, or even Fisher. Hell he might be better than anyone mentioned on here.

The only circus has been on this message board. And, everyone in attendance is here because they like going to the circus. Ever been to the circus? It’s fun. That’s why people go.
A former player and current TAF member said we’d all know Tuesday or Wednesday. Someone else made a great post about contracts and NCAA rules, etc. relative to the Tuesday/Wednesday timetable.
Someone else made a great post about Saban’s very mediocre record at MSU before he became a Tiger. Matt Campbell isn’t my first choice either, but anyone Bill B. has tried to lure to the NFL and who can do special things @ Iowa State is a solid choice.
There are also (unsubstantiated) reports he turned down USC. Again, not my first choice, but like so many Tiger fans, I really wanted Dennis Erickson when we hired Saban. All that glitters ain’t gold.

The board’s fascination with Campbell is odd. Dude would lose 4+ games every year at LSU. He’s nothing special.
