Aranda knows LSU better, locks down us having a great defense, and has done more with less talent at Baylor, comparatively speaking, to Riley/Oklahoma if just looking at this season in a microcosm. Bring Aranda home somehow SW!

Probably because of the heismans, playoffs and all those conference titles he’s won

Because Riley has more head coaching experience and has proven he can take teams to the playoffs. Is he a better choice? I don’t know, but that doesn’t take away from the facts.

Because Aranda has also done less with less at Baylor. Riley locks down offense and is a better recruiter.

Agree Riley is overrated. Not saying he wouldn't do well at LSU but time and time again he never has a defense that gives up less than 30+ a game in his life and any defense with a pulse shuts him down.

Well, the question is, is Aranda still available, or did Scott frick up Aranda and Napier by pursuing Riley too long?

Per the boards yesterday on this site, a resounding yes.

This boards fascination with Aranda is crazy. Is he smart, yes. Is he a good coach, yes. Does he need to be at LSU--NO!

Folks, the life's blood of any program is recruiting. Check his classes. #41 last year and #33 this year. His team is ranked #9 and he doesnt have one 4* or 5* player committed.

You can coach'em up a couple of games a year but over a 12 SEC schedule we would be the new Vandy of the SEC.

Its not gonna happen.
