They likely have to spend a decent amount more on recruiting since they don’t have quality in state recruits. Texas isn’t far obviously, but New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Monroe, Shreveport are all within 4-5 hrs of each other.

That is exactly what Riley was. He took over Bob Stoop's team and just kept it going. And now LSU is reportedly going to pay him 10-12 mill a year.

There’s annual football program budget numbers, annual profits, and overall university finances. It’s all pretty confusing, but it’s hard to see a huge difference between the two universities.
