You think Aranda has had a chance to get a superior QB into a mid-low level Big12 school with one recruiting cycle?

I think they will have the 1st team all conf QB Jake

You're both ignoring his inability to recruit a better QB b/c of his lower level while we're supposed to pretend his results at a lower level are comparable.

I’m not trying to compare results head up. But Napier has sustained success for quite a long time in CFB years. That means something

Aranda’s lack of a body of work is not so much a negative as it is just plain unknown

I'm not arguing that.

I also plainly said that his intelligence is a rhetorical OP cheat code b/c any potential negative can get the "he's smart enough to fix it" response.

He also has never won his conference. For all his sustained success, that also means something.

I have no doubt Napier will recruit well and sound like he's completely in control in press conferences.

The question is how much Derrick Dooley he's got in him. That's why I'm fine with him as a backup for a mid-tier SEC price. I prefer that over the Jimbo stuff b/c they're similar but one we're married to forever.

I just think if we're talking Napier v. Aranda then Aranda is clearly the better candidate. Even with your offensive concerns, Baylor is better on offense this year than Napier.

Baylor is 24th in total offense and 14th in YPP

ULL is 64th or 65th in both.
