Isn’t your argument that the game has significantly changed? So that would imply what worked then wouldn’t work now (see bo pelini)
Hence why having one of the very few forward minded defensive guys is very valuable.
We have clearly shown over the last two years that LSU the program and the players is not what makes a good defense.
