Something interesting is going on
There was a big Riley to LSU splash last week and earlier this week and now it’s a lot of backtracking.
Riley would never want a deal leaked so he has to throw some smoke.
Maybe the deal with Riley is on and he has his people out there blowing smoke to deflect and confuse

If it isn’t him, he will come out shortly and definitively say so. As long as he doesn’t come out with a definitive answer to the question in public, he’s still in play.

Deal has been done, Woodward had his guy before they even announced O was getting fired
All these 'sources' are reporting what they're told to report

That is what I had always thought too. Woodward doesn’t seem like the type of guy to fire someone without a better replacement already in the bag

That's what I was thinking too. If he wanted to shut down the rumors then why not just tell the press that he will be the coach at Oklahoma next year and many more and that he is not entertaining any other jobs including LSU?

You’re being too logical. The fact that he hasn’t publicly stated his intentions yet is clearly a sign that we should panic
