As a Beatles fan, I can't wait.
With that said, I can't recall the absurd amount of footage (10 or 15 hours of the recording sessions) that Peter Jackson has available to whittle down to like 3 hours to form a semi-story/narrative for broader audiences. But I don't even need it. I'd watch every minute of the raw unedited footage.
Edit: it's 57 hours. Ho lee phuck.

I found the film Let It Be to be depressing as hell. The contrast of that gloomy approach to a view of them being relaxed, laughing, and cutting up is wonderful to see. I have no doubt they loved one another, but I believe the contract stipulations from that time period forced them to spend more time together in the studio than with their own families.
It’s only natural that they had music they wanted to put out on their own that wouldn’t be allowed as a “Beatle’s song.” Case in point would be While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Harrison and Clapton spent time after it was recorded tweaking (“flanging,” I believe they called it back then) Clapton’s guitar playing in order to make it sound more like a Beatles-sounding song. My Sweet Lord, Isn’t it a Pity, and I THINK All Things Must Pass were outright rejected by the others to be worked on to be included in a Beatles album. Isn’t It A Pity had been around since at least 1966 and was rejected for either Revolver or Rubber Soul. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, please.
I can’t WAIT to see this!! I’ve had bootlegs from this era and it would be nice if they released them ALL to supplement what they released with the new super deluxe box set that just came out.
