I imagine they will but it's probably other incentives as well. Maybe coordinator and asst coaching salaries and more autonomy, recruiting budget etc. a lot of shite and variables.

If LSU is offering 12.5 and OU comes back at 10, that means Riley would be leaving 20 on the table over 8 yrs. That’s a lot of money to pass on. If LSU is also giving a large chunk for assistants that satisfies Riley, then it’s definitely not about money. That type of money would be hard to walk away from.

That’s their plan now. Possibly even offer him more than 10 and give him what budget he wants for his staff. Think they hit a snag with their #1 to replace Riley in early talks
