I’m have a Thunder beast .22 takedown and can’t decide what pistol to put it on. I was wondering if you guys could recommend a .22 pistol to put it on. $650 is my budget. TIA

Ruger 22/45. I have one and it is fun to shoot with and without the can. I was looking earlier in the year, when 9 ammo was very scarce, at a standard style threaded 22 pistol such as the smith m&p or the ruger sr22 but never pulled the trigger. Wanted to have something similar to what my wife carries everyday so she could practice more than we were able to before. And could do it in my backyard!

I have a Walther P22 that I love. Its very fun to shoot. When it was newer, it was a little selective, and had some trouble cycling bulk ammo, but my last two trips it cycled everything just fine.

I have 2.
S&W M&P compact 22
Browning Buckmark with Tactical Solutions barrel.
I'd have a hard time picking a favorite between those 2.

Not sure if you can find one, but a Ruger Mark III 22LR with threaded barrel would be my recommendation.

SW 22 Victory. No complaints with it.

Yeah, the 22/45 is what I was looking at the most. Thanks everyone!

Definitely can recommend the 22/45 but the Mark IV is a lot easier to strip and clean than the previous versions.

Just bought one from Palmetto for $279. Haven’t shot it yet but it feels nice. Will put a suppressor on it when the ATF finally gives it’s blessing.

I have a can on a Buckmark and two suppressed barrels for a couple of Smith and Wesson Victory .22 pistols. I have also used a can on a Glock model 44 (.22) It worked well.

I have the mk 3. What you said is true. Although it should be said that the mk 3 really isn't that bad. I'ts not like it's physically difficult or you're fiddling with tiny parts, you just need to follow the procedure to make sure the hammer spring pin falls in the right place when re-assembling.
