re: What if you called 911 and got a recording? It happened 839 times in a 2-week period

Back when my wife was my gf, somebody was trying to break into her house in the middle of the night and it took BRPD 1.5 hours to show up. Fortunately, they broke in the back door and didn't go beyond the laundry room.
That is why every home needs a gun on stand by.

I've only called 911 twice in my life and both times I was put on hold and both times the BRPD basically just made me feel bad for calling.
Similar experience for me.

It baffles me that people who have choices CHOOSE to live in that cesspool!
New Otleans leadership could be handed 1 trillion dollars tomorrow and there would be NO improvement to the city.
Let that sink in, and then get the frick out

When seconds matter, the NOLA police are hours away.

Trump warned us this would happen.

Well it's not just New Orleans. I've called 911 4 different times in my life and every time the call was over I was thankful it wasn't a life or death situation.
Nothing worse than having to call 911 to report something and have to play 200 questions with the thing on the other end. Maybe it's because police/fire depts have stopped answering their general line and send it all to 911. So 911 is basically the emergency room where everyone has to go regardless of 'emergency'.

And as NOLA continues to descend into it’s unavoidable Third-World status, how does this surprise anyone?
You have three options:
a) Move to a functional city
b) Stay and enjoy the descent
c) Hire Academi to attend to your security needs

Since it’s been referenced a few times in this thread, here if the link to the Official 911 Is A Joke vid. It is a true American classic.
