I had a live oak cut down in May and finally got around to splitting it this month. Naturally I have a growing pile of bark coming off the splits. Is there anything I can do with this stuff? Never really burned a large amount of bark but would it smoke up the neighborhood? I don't have a chipper to mulch it.

Or smoking meats. Just about any hardwood works, just bear in mind to use 1/4 (or less) the amount of bark than normal wood as bark will burn faster and smoke a lot more. Bag it up and distribute among friends/family that also smoke meats.
