What can realistically be done about the fans?

I know, winning is the best medicine. But that crowd on Saturday was the most atrocious and pathetic crowd I have ever seen in my 21 years of going to LSU games. It was god awful in the first half and once they kicked off for the 2nd half, it was downright sad.

Must win ballgame against a division opponent and we can't even get 80% of the stadium to fricking show up and support the team? And then, when it's shown to be a tight ballgame into the second half, half the stadium just empties. What the frick is that bullshite?

Woodward has to be looking at the crowds and has got to be furious at the sizes. But is there anything that could be done to incentivize fans staying? We all know the issues and excuses of fans leaving, I'm not sure there's a solution though. We all say that they've priced out most of the true fans, but like the price of land, football and event tickets in general, never decrease.

I have seen the thought that the multiple extra additions to the stadium were unnecessary and lacked any foresight, which I wholly agree with. But they ain't fixing to tear down the south endzone addition.

I'm truthfully sad at the state of this program at the moment.

Bring in a coach who actually knows what he's doing?

Not being dead last in the SEC West could be a jumping off point.

Lol the real question is what can be done about what special Ed has done to the program.

The fans don't give up over 400 yards of offense almost every Saturday.

The lower bowl was pretty damn full and there was a good atmosphere considering the two teams playing and what the stakes were.

People act like LSU is the only program that struggles with this. It's across the sport. We bring in a coach and get back to being consistently ranked in the top 10, playing huge matchups and the stadium will be full again.

I don't think you know what "must win" means.

I have been going to games much longer than you, and I thought the first half crowd, while not enthusiastic, was at least good in size. Sure, far too many left at halftime, but what do you expect? The team sucks and the coaches have already been fired.

Maybe I was harsh to say the team "sucks", because I appreciate the effort the guys on the field have been playing with the last two weeks, that's why I was there Saturday to support them. But the coaching staff has woefully underperformed and cost this season. Many of the players have quit and use minor bumps and bruises as an excuse to not play.

But I do give credit to the guys that have busted their butt the last two weeks. They just aren't talented enough to overcome the huge disadvantage we have in coaching.

Honestly thought the crowd was decent for a now 4-6 team. The coaches are ruining the brand, not the fans. Win and they will come (and stay)

Go back in time and kidnap Alleva circa 2013. Instead of closing in south end zone, spend that money making the place more comfortable and accommodating. Serve food that would spark interest in actually eating it. For example. A real burger not the grainy meat one now served. Set up other game viewing area.

Our fanbase is pathetic. It demands unwavering greatness from the teams and will rip coaches and players to shreds, but doesn't really care enough to stay for a whole football game. I don't give a flying frick about the excuses that everyone has, it's pathetic.

How about building routes out of campus. Night games are great but if you live out of town getting home after midnight is tough

It's been like this well before the fricking SE expansion and Orgeron

So you started attend games when Saban showed up.

Take it from people who suffered through the Archer, Hellman, and the last two seasons of Dinardo....

That crowd was pretty, darn good for a team that’s going to miss a bowl. You’ve never experienced that before (2020 Covid year didn’t allow fans).

Trying to figure out how/why this is a must win game. So LSU could finish 2nd to last instead of last in the division

Tiger Stadium has been relegated to being an awesome venue for certain select games & ONLY when LSU is "in the hunt".

A great hire would make 2022 Season attendance better.
