I think Weah is locked I to it based on his performance.

Anyone have a revised best XI (if everyone available)?

Maybe play all three with a false nine? I don’t know if that would work at all

Nah, Weah and Aaronson come off the bench, rotate.

It's a good problem to have.

As for best XI, mine hasn't changed after last night

Steffen/Turner (just pick one)
Dest-MRob-Brooks-ARob
Adams
McKennie-Musah
Reyna-Pepi-Pulisic

Just need some midfield depth. Striker depth too obviously.

Figuring out the Reyna/Weah/Musah configuration is tough. On current form Weah deserves to start, and the way he stretched Mexico and just torched Gallardo all night is invaluable, but not every opponent will be Mexico. I think you configure the team based on the opponent. My gut tells me Reyna plays out wide and Weah sits, but you can also move Reyna centrally and drop Musah. Tough decisions all around.

Our strongest overall lineup is probably what Broski posted above.

I would drop McKennie before Musah, and that's not even a slight on McKennie.

Musah has been that influential.

McKennie is undroppable at this point imo. Especially when you consider his goal scoring and set piece prowess.

For as good as he was last night, Musah was better.

Musah has been nothing but outstanding for pretty much every WCQ match these last few months.

Very interested what we do in the midfield for Jamaica with McKennie out. I don't know if this is a match for Busio with how fast Jamaica is. But Acosta as an 8 is dreadful and Lletget just doesn't have it anymore.

Not too worried about CB with MRob out. Richards and McKenzie (who has been our best CB in road qualifiers) can fill in next to Zimmerman.

Matt Doyle is projecting Lletget to start. I prefer that guy off the bench, if at all, based on his recent play. I would honestly be ok with Ferreira playing there like he does for Dallas and seeing what he and Pepi can do together.

I looked at his Twitter and didn’t see that, but is he expecting a lot of changes otherwise? Or a similar line-up to Mexico minus Weston and Miles Robinson?

I am less impressed with Miles Robinson than the rest of you.

After how Panama went, Gregg better not rotate much beyond the two suspensions and maybe swapping Pulisic and Aaronson. Give CP 60 minutes and then bring on Aaronson.

Especially considering guys like musah and weah aren’t coming into this window with heavy minutes on their legs. The rotation really should minimal. I’d go with Richards for Mrob, Busio for mckennie and agree give pulisic the start and rest Aaronson. Otherwise I want the same lineup, same lineup with the only other change maybe, maybe scally in if yedlin/Arob need a rest.

I do expect turner to start in goal just because.

Why? He’s been our most consistent CB since the summer. Super athletic. Basically does everything Long did but with superior athleticism.

Doyle said same lineup except Richards for Robinson and Lletget for Weston.

Unfortunately I don’t think Pulisic can go more than 30 minutes at the moment

If Weston, Adams, and Musah are all healthy and available that's the midfield. They can rotate the wings all they want but they shouldn't touch those three.

I would be happy with that line-up minus Lletget.

I realize Pulisic may only be a 30-35 minute guy.

I have found Miles Robinson to be reckless playing the ball out of the back at times. And he has been exposed oh quick counters (this applies to almost all of our guys at times, but he is supposed to be the fast central defender).

Nah, Pepi needs as much time as he can get at the 9.

I’ve thought dropping Reyna into middle with adams and mckennie could yield our best team, and I’d still like to see that at some point, but musah really has impressed and hard to argue with what we are seeing from Adams/mckennie/musah.

The reality is in a World Cup where we will have 3 (hopefully 5 or 6) games in a short window there are enough minutes at the 10 and the two attacking wings for pulisic/Reyna/Musah/weah/aaronson to play a lot.

And Dest may yet have something to say on the wing rotation.
