Hearing it from the media hurts doesn't it? Embarrassing.

Serious question. Is there a franchise in all of of team sports that's more of a laughing stock than the Pelicans are right now? The Lions maybe?

We've never been more of a joke.

You can have endless justified criticisms of Griff but I have no idea how she found mismanaging Zion's injuries. Glad local media stopped carrying water for him on his health but I doubt anyone in the national media will. Fact is with Zion playing we are slightly below 500 and due in part because of Zion himself it hasn't happened.

Lmao that was just the usual talking points regurgitated. Oh and from at Atlanta sports fan at that.

“As soon as they won the lottery we knew they would screw it up.”
“They’ve mismanaged Zions injury”

Totally agree with the bullshite about Gentry and fighting and that nonsense. If it gets him fired so be it.

But the rest was just nonsense.

Worth noting(because ESPN won’t), she is represented by CAA, Zion’s agency.

And ESPN is often joked by people like Kevin O’Connor as CAA’s mouthpiece.

Doesn’t invalidate what she says, but it should raise questions about what underlying machinations are potentially taking place, such as this being Zion’s people intentionally pushing to get Griff out(which I’m good with).

Don't mind her bashing Griffin, as he deserves it. However, her comments are a bit disingenuous. She did not "know" anything and is simply basing her frustration on Griffin firing Gentry.

A bit hypocritical of ESPN to say they knew Griff was going to mess this up. Literally every personality at ESPN was heaping praise on the Griffin hire at the time. shite, up until last offseason most of espn was still saying they believed Griff would figure it out.

I feel like ESPN is partly responsible for how long his leash ultimately was. Even I bought into the Griff hype after he was hired. I think the combination of getting all the 1sts from the AD trade, winning the lottery, Griff-speak and the media hype pulled the wool over a lot of our eyes. In the end, he’s just a pretentious douchebag who thinks he knows more than everyone. Like Sean Payton, but without any of the positive qualities

I wouldn't say she goes off, she blames Griff for Zion's inability to stay healthy or in shape, which by the way is not Griff's fault

Like it was our fault that he can't keep his weight under control. The team doctors took their time bringing him back. It wasn't like we rushed him back. What the hell is she talking about "missmanaging his injury"???
