We need another QB in this class. Maybe JUCO or small school transfer

If Walker comes in and wins the QB battle we could possibly lose both Max and Nuss. If one of the vets wins the job the other is likely out. If either is the case we need another scholarship QB. Hopefully the new coach doesn't sign a full class and just picks one up after Spring ball. But we need him badly.

We’ll have Nussmeier and Howard. We’ll be fine. If we get injured and down to having to use a 3rd-4th string QB then it’s a lost season anyways at that point.

Bad take. Look at Ohio State with Cardale Jones

Yea a once in a blue moon situation. 99.99% of teams down to their 3rd string QB are not winning a national title or even coming close to competing for 1.

Two QB classes never work out how fans wish they would
Whichever one doesn’t win the job is gone

Never take 2 QBs in the same class. One if not both always transfer

I doubt Max ever transfers as long as his brother Jake comes here.

They've brought in other QBs. At this point, they would be preferred walk ons but they're not slouches. I know they brought Brother Martin's QB, Mmhat, in for a visit. Faulk and O'Dowd are also still on the roster.
Really going to depend on what the new coach wants to do. He may bring a guy with him. I do agree that we likely lose Max regardless but not necessarily Nuss.

They could both transfer out.

If Howard wins the job I’m betting Nuss doesn’t stay around. We already saw what happens when he doesn’t play last game.

I’m pretty sure that was about being given a chance to help the team win a game and he had a point at that time. Thing is that he played well until for some crazy arse reason, they take him out of the game as soon as we are about to put 6 on the board. Why the hell not run the wild cat with the QB? Or how about fooling the defense with a different type of run play or style?
After that series, the entire offense went flat and Max should have then been given his chance to do what he does best and lead as the mature QB. That’s his role, why not let them both do what they do best? The season is screwed so let’s just win the damn game however possible. The defense is playing fine, so let’s go back to Max.
That may have sparked Max and let Nuss know that he’s just not ready to take full control but he can be given some plays if a spark is needed or if Max isn’t playing well. It’s that simple! If they’re both flat then you turn to the running game with the addition of the QB as an option to run the ball to create a spark. I’m not sure why certain things aren’t explored or seem to be purposely strayed away from?
Don’t kill both QBs confidence in your ability to call plays for them and the team behind them. Try different shite until it begins to work, gives them some confidence and let the other QB/players know that they can do things well so they all realize that it’s a team sport and we all need each other to be successful. It’s not about one person or player. It’s not about any coach, it’s about the LSU program which will always move forward and reach for success, no matter who, what, how, or where. Do your part for that greater idea and you’ll be perfectly fine! That’s how it’s always been and that’s how it will be. Period!
Once they come to believe this by you showing them it’s the real deal, not just talk, then they’ll fall in line and play their parts for the team and LSU brand. When players do that, it will inevitably raise them up to have success as well. This is what Burrow preached and that entire 2019 team did. The reason that culture failed this team is a multitude of things and not just Ed O but he’s the HC so he’ll have to take responsibility for it happening. The next coach simply needs to restore that culture and belief system, then back that up with results and hopefully consistently do that every season. If the next coach can manage his roster and that culture, then he’ll be very successful. If not, then he’ll be gone in 3 or 4 years.
