So does this mean Nussmeier starts on Sat. night?

I mean since the cat is out of the bag on why Nussmeier has not been in recent games let's move onward and upward! I like Max Johnson as our QB but the fact is he is NOT what we need THIS season considering the pass rush. Maybe Nuss can extend plays and get positive results on 3rd down. Just sayin'. I'm ready to start winning again.

CEO has already stated that Max will start but Nuss will see significant playing t8me.
I kinda wonder if swapping a left hander and right hander back and forth will mess with the receivers.

no need for him to play
next HC will have a different everything from linemen to plays to schemes so why play him at all, just not risk him getting an injury and start over after special ed has left the bldg
if there was ANY game he should have played in it was bama and we would have won that game if he did

Understood. So what if Johnson is on fire and leads the team to TD's on EVERY possession? When do you put Nuss in the game? I say start him on possession 1 and let that be that. Makes more sense to quell the pundits that write about LSU's demise.
Think about this: We've lost to Ala. 11-12. The OTHER 2 times we should/could have won (mainly b/c of our QB issues) was 2011 championship game and recently this past Sat. Makes me sick!

Nuss needs playing time. This season is already a wash so get him some experience for spring camp. I think no one transfers either way in 2022. We go into the fall with 2 qb options and Howard (hopefully) riding the bench learning the offense.

Nuss's Parents have agreed to let him burn his redshirt. That's telling you everything you need to know. I like Max but he had time to throw in the Alabama game, the O line was playing hard. He takes too long to make a decision, those sacks were all on him holding on the ball too long except for one sack on a blitz that wasn't picked up. Nuss looks like he is command of the offense when he is in the game. Max will start but Nuss will get a lot of playing time. If he takes the team down for a score, Max may not see any playing time. You don't burn a redshirt for nothing.

You don't have to start a game for it to count against your redshirt four game limit. As long as you participate in a game it counts. Otherwise you could not a start a player every game and none of the game would count towards a redshirt. If Nuss plays one snap against Arky it counts.

In your mind maybe. It sounds like the family sees Garrett's opportunity to establish himself as the starter before Walker Howard potentially comes in. This is huge in him getting a leg up on next season.
If doesnt do win the job now then he likely battles for it next season and if he loses out he will have to hit the portal

I don’t understand people’s thoughts on this redshirt stuff (enlighten me)? If he’s good it won’t matter! If he sucks, he’ll transfer and it won’t matter!
