LSU walked into Tuscaloser with a younger team than the start of the season. Then proceeded to keep Bama on the ropes for 60 Minutes. The Young team crap is out the window.

Nothing to do with youth last night. The effort for 60 minutes was the best I’ve seen since 2019.

You’re always young when your culture is to quit.

They were young against bama .... But I certainly feel we had more Heart on the Field in purple and gold then anytime outside of the Florida game, young or not.

Agreed. The kids played hard and you have to give them credit for it. (Not saying you aren't)

Even Bama fans were saying they had a real shot of losing. Those kids stepped up and played hard. Hats off to them.

wish we had thrown nuss in there, even if we still lost. at least we would have exhausted all options.

that game reminded me of the 2017 game when all we needed from etling was to make 3/4 throws and missed all of them.

Did they? We didn’t have a single freshman record a stat on defense. On offense, we had 2 WR’s (BTJ and Bech) record stats, and 2 RB’s (Kiner and Goodwin). But TDP had 23 carries while Kiner and Goodwin combined for 13.

The guys on the field may not have been starters at the beginning of the year, but they were not necessarily younger. They were just backups. Some of those guys (Cameron Lewis, for example) have been here for 6 years.

Regardless, the impact of “youth” on a team always subsides as the year goes on. The freshman, particularly the non-EE’s, have way more experience going into game 9 than they do going into game 1.
