I like how the wife and kid is in the background but it doesn’t have a back seat. Were those old Toyota’s 3 across the front seat or just 2?0

We rented a Chinook back in the day for a weekend trip. It was loaded with people and gear. I drove and took a tent so I wouldn't be cooped up in the back of that thing. It was a good decision.

It was not fast, with a four-banger, and winds would make it shake and shimmy, but it was a pretty cool, if unwieldy thing.

I imagine a Taco would provide more power and a more stable platform than a 70s-era Hi-Lux -- which, pound for pound were among the toughest trucks ever.
