My point is that trying to split the difference with two groups who have completely opposing viewpoints will generally end up pissing off both sides.


If Blake’s shooting was justified, the left will be pissed no matter what happens with Kyle.

If Kyle was shooting in self defense and they charge him anyway, it doesn’t necessarily make the left happy but it guarantees you piss off the right who want law and order rather than rioting.
