The tyranny of GOOGLE. How to limit their exposure

I’ve decided to attempt to make a break from these authoritarian Google bastards, who do nothing but collect my data and fund hundreds of millions to Marxists/Socialists. They track your every move (as does FB, Twitter, etc). Drop them too.
I’m wondering how hard this will be as they crush any competition. They also own YOUTUBE.
Firefox is a good start, but TOR is better (just mind numbingly Slow). I’m in the process of changing all email to CTemplar. It’s the most secure anonymous email, who stores their servers in ICELAND, which has the strictest privacy laws in the world. I suggest not using your real name.
https://ctemplar.com/
If you don’t have a VPN, get one. I actually bought a 2 year license of BitDefender I bought on Amazon. It’s rated as one of the best out there as a virus protector and also has an easy to use vpn service built in. Actually do the reading and check the stars, because there is some frickery going on with these magazine raters. You can protect up to 5 devices (lab top, phone, iPad,etc). They have they own password generator in the service as well, which brings me to my next point.
BitDefender 2 Year subscription, 15 dollars off
Get a password generating program. I use KEEPER Password Manager. It’s free up to like 30-40 passwords. I love it, as it fills your info in so there isn’t copying and pasting on every site. The passwords are ridiculously hard to crack.
It’s 50% off until 11/1.

There are others, like the one embedded in BitDefender, but my brother says he has LastPass.
——-
Also use DuckDuckGo.
Any other nerds have anything to add? I’m curious as to how to speed up the TOR-Onion browser. I checked into it for about 15 minutes and quit. Also, let me know if google or any othe conglomerate owns any of these

why not brave? their browser is based on chromium and i've adopted it for all PCs and mobile devices. its lightning fast and blocks all ads by default.
they recently ditched google for search en route to a google-free platform.

Company makes great product---blows up --- people think they are oppressed by it.
Sorry for your victimhood....sure its not the only thing you are a victim of.

You don’t have to use Amazon. I’m offering up advice that has worked well for me. And no, I haven’t used Google search engine for as long as I can remember
I forgot to add that one, DuckDuckGo

Firefox is heavily funded by Google. It is controlled opposition so the browser market never technically becomes a monopoly, and it's saddled with its own leftist political BS.
What you want is Ungoogled-Chromium (Chromium with the Google stuff ripped out) or LibreWolf (Firefox with the Mozilla stuff ripped out).
Ungoogled-Chromium
LibreWolf

Good advice. I admitted I don’t have all the answers. It’s better to pool together ideas. My mother gave me a small note book like 3 years ago to store all my passwords in. I’m sure there are some boomers that can use some of this information

Free you say? Like a lot of Google's products? Hmmm
You have to pay once a certain limit has been hit. I’m sure it isn’t expensive, and as I said, there are others out there

brave is going to rock your world

i was skeptical and took the plunge and now i'm ALL IN on brave. outside of work-required usage of chrome/edge, brave is all i use.

Tor essentially routes your connection through multiple layers of encrypted tunnels. The servers for these tunnels are volunteer operated and are free for anyone to use. Spammers abuse the hell out of the system so most websites have lockouts or additional captchas for Tor IPs.
It's essentially always going to be slow and painful to use Tor for general browsing.

brave is really the only browser the makes sense on iphone/android (i think its on iphone too..?) if you cant stand ads because the only other alternative is to root your device and thats a nightmare even for those of us who have done it for years.

I will say that I have been very happy with BitDefender, but some conglomerate probably owns that too. There was another highly rated one I almost went with. I think it was called Kapersky
