JBE is all about politics first and foremost and he will not do anything to undermine that.

JBE was the democrats party leader in the state house of representatives and that's not a position you get without being an absolute hack that totes the absolute bottom line for the democrats.

Furthermore, his voting record was to the left of the black caucus.

The myth/mirage that JBE is this conservative blue dog dixiecrat that's almost a republican was just that, a myth/mirage to fool and soothe low info GOP voters into getting comfortable with dumping Vitter and stopping Rispone.

And then JBE governs as the partisan liberal democrat he really is behind closed doors.
