To all LSU fans out there that are looking to build a pole barn or any type of shop building, buyer beware of Mallett Buildings or Best Buy, owned by Lee Mallett. As you may know Lee Mallett is on the Board of Supervisors at LSU. From a recent Google search of him, I found back in April of 2018 he was promoting his pole barn business on this outdoor board. In April of 2020 I purchased a building from his company and man do I regret it. From the day that the building was delivered till the end when the gutters were installed, it is almost unbelievable how bad it is to do business with Lee Mallett. Google his companies and you will see for yourself. If anyone wants to contact me, I can provide overwhelming evidence of how bad his business's are. Lee Mallett is also on the State Board of Contractors as the Chairman and has far reaching connections throughout the state of Louisiana.

in the interest of fairness if you are going to call the man and his business out in public like this you should also post the evidence

I have a Mallet building. It’s badass- I am particular as hell, and it’s perfect.

It also survived Ida with no issues and I live
DTB.

Mallet is very strict about their processes- if you don’t follow it to a T, you will be very unhappy.

What would be a better value...one of the buildings from Mallett or a Carolina Carport type building?

Im in the market for a 30x40x14 and am looking into both.

Carolina Carport= My concrete guy can pour a 6 inch slab 31x41 for 7500 with metal keyways and wire mesh. Then the quote for the building is 20000 incl taxes, delivery and install. (3 10x10 rollups, walk in door and 2 windows). I got the building quote online from Alans Factory Outlet. So a total of 27500.

The mallett building appears to be a turnkey package that will run around 35000 (but thats with 4 inch fibermesh concrete)

Is the Mallett building worth the extra 7500 over my carolina carport plan?

They besieged me with e-mails and calls after skiing for a quote. They seem shady.

Google his son for more interesting stuff.

Pole barns are shite in general, that's why there so cheap. There's not much material that goes into one. Get a metal frame building
