I don't think Colorado ran him off. He took over a shite program and brought in a good recruiting class and I believe Colorado was very high on him. He pulled a Saban and said he wasn't going anywhere and then boom took the Michigan State job. Colorado fans then were pissed at him for using them as a one year stepping stone.
