Rat Poison

clearly Orgeron's own actions led to his downfall, but what has been lost in all this are the external forces that pushed things along. The number one priority of the new coach needs to be to close ranks and keep Ryan Clark away from the players. After reading the Sports Illustrated article its very obvious to me his hand was all over the players march without Orgeron.
For whatever reason Clark appears to not like Orgeron and made things personal last summer. Am not sure where the grudge started from, but he had the players ears from his association wuth the Bootleggers and his training facility. After Orgeron went on Fox, Clark started chirping and the players started following his lead which led to the march.
Clark is toxic or as Saban would say Rat Poison. Have to keep his arse out of the building.

Yes. He's 9-8 in games since we beat Clemson.

So Ryan Clark made Ed do a bad job?
Ed admitted today he did a bad job. He said "if I knew what the problem was, I would've fixed it".
Any 'external' forces are his off the field stuff. I don't care if he chases around blondes but when that affects his actual job, that he is being paid handsomely to do, there's a problem
What Ryan Clark said/feels is irrelevant.
When the head coach is admitting he doesn't know what the problem was or how to fix it, there's a problem.

Clark's biggest issue with O was the fact that he wouldn't offer Clark's son a scholarship to play for LSU.

Players now have more say than they ever have in college football. They are basically free agents. If something hurts their feelings or if they have to follow a team rule such as, “Don’t smoke pot 24/7”, they can transfer and start somewhere, immediately.
If their team loses a game or two, they can “opt out”, better known as quitting. These athletes grow up not facing consequences for their wrong actions because they were blessed with superior genetics for their respective sports. Now, they can go to school for free while receiving 7 figures in endorsements.
Coaches will have their hands full more than ever. Say what you want and downvote me now, but these problems will continue in college football.

This is part of the reason I don't watch pro sports anymore.

One of the oldest sayings in the professional world. Stay out of politics and religion.

If rumors are true that the next coach will be hired by the color of his skin, it may not matter.

LSU needs to let Scott Woodward decide on the next coach and keep the woke POS President out of the mix. It’s bad enough that the BOS have to be involved.

Listen, yes...Ryan Clark showed his arse. He did so on the Drew Brees thing to - he was a prominent and driving force behind propelling the momentum on media and social media Re: Brees for something he had said publicly in the past multiple times before,(and that I would agree with by the way) but Clark made sure it was heard this time in a different way that incited others in the environment at that time. He did the same to O.
But in that environment O could have done better. He has to know the room and navigate it more intelligently and he just didn't.

And what the players, Clark, and about 50 million other people in the country didn't understand (and still don't) was that the alternative to Trump is what you have now - the deliberate destruction of this country.

You’re not smart enough to know when a man wants that full buyout.
You’re also not smart enough to know how lightly whites have to tread in this woke world we currently live in. It’s a Privilege that they don’t have at this time.
Refute that if you like.

This. If the players are listening to Ryan Clark over the head coach, then the problem is with the head coach.

Maybe the problem is with the players themselves.

We should keep Ryan Clark and OBJ away from LSU football. Ryan Clark is rat poison, and OBJ is a fricking idiot, who only cares about himself, and showing off his bling

Who is responsible for bringing in those players?

This is all a huge stretch but folks want to believe it because they want a reason to be outraged.
O is gone solely because he began losing games and while losing said games, was acting like an arse off the field.
No part of his firing had anything to do with Ryan Clark, or because he went on Fox a year ago.
If we are undefeated today, he’s not being fired, and could go on Fox anytime he pleased.
