Call me old-fashioned, but if I were Head Coach, Jones (or any player for that matter) would have been benched the rest of the game. He put his own ego ahead of the entire team and continued an otherwise dead drive for FLA. He knew in advance that he would be flagged. No excuses.

Any person who aids and abets the opponent (lengthens drives; takes points off the board [I'm talking to you, Brad Wing]) deserves time in the dog house.

That definitely gave fla the momentum they needed to get going on offense

Honestly, it was a pretty soft penalty, but they also missed that he tackles the guy way before the ball got there.

It’s an emotional game. You want guys to play with passion this happens.

I’d bench him the rest of the season. That was just a stupid choice. Just like after the tipped int. #25 stood over the down WR instead of getting into blocking mode.

Sports have gotten so sissified - The Wing taunt shouldn’t have been called; it wasn’t aggressive or anything. Standing over a guy is a little much I’ll admit.

We don’t have the depth a CB to put someone on the bench for being a dumbass

Did he get any defensive snaps after that?

Had we lost, I would agree with you. I'm glad some of these dudes showed a pulse when they got on the field, especially on defense. Up until yesterday, Damone Clark had been the only one showing that he cares to be on this team.

Problem, one of many, with kids today and football.... everyone thinks that when they make a play, they next flex or pose or just the "hey look at me" vs just play the game. So you make a hit... great, did you wrap up to make the tackle? You did... then go do it again and again.

Selfishness is not allowed in a team sport.

Teach the young man a lesson (sit rest of game), and get him back out there next week, as a better team player.

Nah, sit him down for a play or maybe a series, just long enough to think about what you just told him. Then play him and get after his arse nonstop in practice about it.

Agree. My son and I have been saying that the players sometimes spend more energy celebrating their play than they do making the play. An honest show of emotion is fine but taunting in any form or jumping on your own players is bs.

Come on the Brad Wing taunting call was weak. And he was a punter who ran like a 60+ yard touchdown.

In this case the QB threw a bad pass and the receiver missed it. I don’t even know what he was standing over him for. He didn’t break the pass up. He was just there. Then put the team in a bad spot with his stupid flexing and stepping over the guy.

Aside from this play, this was the first game so far ive been proud of iur D for handling business and NOT acting like a gang of immature thugs in between plays. Most of the time they act like theyd rather squad up after the game for a home invasion than fill their gaps. This week they played with humility and discipline and they did a great job

Of all the penalties for unsportsmanlike conduct I have seen over the years, that had to be the worst use of that penalty.
