you talking meter pole or telephone pole?

if its the telephone pole thats an entergy thing, i think they are the only ones who can do that due to liability issues and such.

honestly a 500ft move isnt a minor move so there is a lot more involved then just the poles. since you are going to have a nice bill to do this you may as well see if they can do underground rather then add a bunch of new poles

This is a long task. I recall working with a homeowner years ago a similar issue that requires less of a move and they were resistant to do it. This guy is a real swingin dick and finally threw weight and got it moved but it took forever.

If you’re just Joe Public, and there isn’t an imminent risk, you’re probably just pissing into the wind

You need to contact the power company. They'll either give you a price or tell you no.

You'll also need and electrician to disconnect/reconnect all three houses. That may require a permit for each house.

That sounds easier. You might get away with it for a few grand if all they are doing is adding a pole or two.

Find out who the local contractor is who sets their poles, try to hire him.

Btw they will just put the new one directly next to the old - May not even remove the old one either.

It will help if you have a good reason for it to move besides "I don't want to look at it" (Which it sounds like you do). Tell them it's in the way of operating your equipment. Also tell them you are worried about the clearance of the line over your equipment. If they decide they need a taller pole they might put it where you want it without a charge.

A single phase pole and transformer is about ~$2500, not including removing the old stuff and relocating the wires.

You don't need an electrician to a disconnect or reconnect if your utility is doing the move.

They almost definitely won't move the transformer 500 feet farther away from the houses it serves. If you meant 50 you probably won't have an issue.

No utility contractor will move a utility's pole without their permission
