Baton Rouge snobbery is so bizarre. It's #1 IME.

Then nobody in the US is old money. John D. Rockefeller was a wildcatter. Cornelius Vanderbilt started out as a ferryboat operator.

Maybe they think they're better than Westlake?

True. Its a weird collection there, but its bizarre how snobby they are. I used to live amongst them.

I’m gonna skip Moss bluff and go straight to…DeRidder?

We people of Lafayette can’t help the fact that we’re more intelligent, classier and just dadgum better than all you peasants and serfs in the rest of the state.

How far back do you want to go? The crowned heads of Europe are descended from illiterate tribal warlords no different than what you see in Somalia today. Everybody started from humble beginnings somewhere.

Covington is full of poors. It even has a Ghetto.

lafayette
maybe river ranch and youngsville?
Seems like more money in that area. And people dress like they going to the club just to go eat at chipotle.
I’ve lived in Thibodaux, BR, Nola, and now Lafayette.
Lafayette is closer to Houma/Thibodaux.
Seems like it’s harder to have conversations with people if they don’t already know you..
Never really got that vibe living in BR or Nola.
Kenner/Metairie probably has some of the nicest people I’ve met.
