Vermont for 170+ years was a small state populated by proud sons of the revolution. True patriots. But because it was such a small state, only a small migration of people into the state was sufficient for it to turn left.
That’s what happened. In the 70s and 80s, the state became a destination for earth muffins and hippies from the Boston and NY area.
