bitching about the unvaccinated if the numbers are so great?

It's more like 90 percent taking the vaccine not 60 percent because the 60-40 percentage includes under 18 year olds and people who cant get it due to having had a lung transplant or cancer or something like that.
What I hear you saying is that we have vaccinated enough people.
I agree.

Medic here, ain't taking the "vaccine" period. It took 18 months before I finally caught it, threw my respirator that I wore on suspected covid calls in the attic after month 3 and stopped wearing a mask the whole shift after a month into the "pandemic". I have to get tested twice a week but if it ever comes down to me having to pay for those tests or no vax no work, I'm out. If they're willing to part with their most senior level FTO during a staffing shortage bc I won't get something I have natural immunity to, frick em.

You know why they use this stat
Cause so many haven’t gone back for second dose after have adverse reactions to the first

Y’all are cheering on them resisting/quitting but this is far from being a good thing.
Are they just going to scrap all the existing training requirements for these positions and make the only criteria “must be vaccinated?”

Hahaha this is funny because I made this exact point to the loony lefties on the Bama board (because people under 30 with no underlying conditions absolutely do not need this vaccine), and they acted like I had lost my mind. You should realize that your fellow leftists abhor this reality.

No, I’m not saying people shouldn’t resist.
No, I haven’t gotten the vax, nor will I.
If you haven’t figured it out by now, Democrats work long term. Little by little. If they came out all at once with everything they’ve done over the past 10-15 years, it would have been laughed out of the building. But look at where we are now. So no, I do not feel like overnight they’ll start just assuming all positions. But watch what happens in the next 5 years if the appropriate changes aren’t made.
Y’all speak out of both sides of your neck.
For starters, if our schools are indoctrinating our kids, and it’s only getting worse, that will cover the positions in the next few years that need stricter qualifications.
I meant the imported labor more for truckers and whatnot. If you don’t think there’s enough power hungry liberals in the military that will assume ATF positions and the like, then idk what to tell you.
The proud assumption that “they’ll starve if truckers strike”… Some people will but it won’t be the “they” you’re wanting it to be.
Also, You can get an associates degree in less than 2 years and a bachelors in less than 4 years. That’s really all you need for a teaching gig. And then some.
Look into university of the people. You can get a degree for a couple grand now. And they’ll still grant that.
This post wasn’t meant to tell people “do not resist” but that we need to do more. It’s not a big win if us citizens go out of work by the masses. We are stuck between a rock and a hard place. I actually encourage people to resist the vaccine but sitting here thinking they haven’t planned some bullshite behind this, is naive.

No but that can be expedited like anything else. I’ve had a company get me a passport in under 2 weeks.
I’ve gone in and ran union jobs while not being a part of the union.
I’ve seen osha rules get bypassed countless times because the client wanted it done right then.
I’ve seen state inspectors let things slide because the clients needed it approved.
And the most recent, I’ve seen a QC get offered 300k to sign off on years worth of backlog.
That’s just my experience so no, I do not have the most trust in the process of regulation.

Try not to think in such absolutes. No I do not believe hatians are coming to run the military and police but to say those are both not being weakened is ignorant. Again, long term.

And they’re already talking about doing away with drug testing for employment in some places.
If not just legalizing it.

Yes it is when you pull them out of the military.
Imported was more of a broad term for general labor. Truckers, teachers, etc.

Do you know how long a facility training program is for ATC in a Center or high level facility is ? If you have 20% of people in a facility walk out over this that will royally frick the National Air Traffic System for a good amount of time. Same with a mass exodus of Pilots. Not to mention when Reagan fired them in the 80s the replacements are coming up on the mandatory retirement age of 56 which has been going on for a few years now. I know of many facilities that are understaffed as is and good luck trying to fill in Controllers using the military. Also many of the other jobs you mentioned require certifications, education, and experience, and good luck trying to fill a mass exodus at once. Another thing is these jobs have powerful Unions behind them, and at the end of the day I don't think the Biden administration has the stomach to poke that bear. The Unions the Democrats advocate for may end up fricking them. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Millitary.
Y’all are focusing only on the ATC like they can’t put the millitary, who are going through the same situation with the vax, into those positions very, quickly.
I also said long term.
