FINALLY SOMEONE is think correctly.
I bet there are some assistants that have a love of college football and want to lead a program.
Find a guy that has learned attention to detail even if he was fired as a HC.

Didn't know he was still coaching until I saw him on the sideline of the Saints game. Sure, why not?

Is it finally time to consider Jack del Rio?

From the Saints DL coach Ryan Nielsen? Also WR Coach, former Tulane coach right? Forgot his name but he seemed solid.

0. With the early signing period, the only head coaches moving from a NFL job (head or assistant) to college will be ones who are unemployed when hired. No team can afford to wait that long to make a hire now.

Is there even such a thing as a successful college FB coach who came from the NFL assistants ranks?
Not saying it's not possible or likely; just an honest question--- I've no idea

Good question...... I just thought of one who coached in the NFL and was semi-succeessful who is coaching in college now. HERM EDWARDS. I kind of like this guy because I never in my wildest dreams thought he would be successful at Arizona State.... The guys teams are good and he is a really decent coach... Don't know what is going to become of this recruiting scandal though.... I think he could be a top-notch coach at an elite university.

It would be a step down. If someone is a coordinator in the NFL or a head coach they want to remain in the NFL. I think the days of a NFL coordinator leaving the NFL for the NCAA are fading.
