If we fire Coach O before next year we will get some 3rd Tier coach. No body wants a 2 year leash. We’re surrounded by teams ready to poach on our fertile recruiting land. It will take four years or more to establish what coach o has been building toward.

I saw you saying this nonsense this morning.

He's done. It's going to happen. Accept it.

What do you think we have currently? Does it really look like O has 'built' anything aside from a huge mess already? We're talking almost two years of this now.

I would argue that we have a 4th or 5th tier coach rn. He couldn’t get a job at Troy.

Here's a good indicator. If we fire Coach O, I suspect the best Coach O will do career-wise will be to wind up as a 3rd-tier coach somewhere (like Bo Pelini did). No big-time school is coming after him. Ole Miss is hardly a top-tier school, and they fired him. USC passed on the opportunity to hire him. He backed into the LSU job after our top candidates backed away. No other school was trying to hire him and no other school has tried to poach him.

Bottom line...we currently have a 3rd-tier coach, who caught lightning in a bottle and let it fall apart. I think he needs to go, and LSU will be just fine.

Isn't O a 3rd tier coach?
