So what do you predict is the outcome of The Bluffs at Thompson Creek?

It's a challenging and gorgeous Arnold Palmer-designed course that's as close to Baton Rouge as you can get and still offer some elevation changes, but the metro area seems to be growing in the other direction entirely.

Supposedly it needs a couple of million in updates and maintenance.

What I hope - someone with multiple millions buys it and wants to make it great again.

What I think - it will change ownership and be run with a low budget causing it to go more downhill.

Maybe once property values start to drop back there homeowners will realize they need to participate and a deal can be reached

I'm thinking the bluffs might have one more shot at being a club if some rich guy comes in. It will be open for a year or two and then shut down again an be allowed to grow back into a natural area.

First, Louisiana would be great to come out of the Stone Age in everything.

Then maybe golf would take off, in about 2000 years.
