Its going to be tough going until we can get the ridge centered south of Alaska to slide over about 500 miles.

Its not going to be sampled well, so checking the start of the GFS is as good as anything.

See all that red off the NW coast and Western Canada. If we could get that centered more over the Bering Sea, PC would be in bidness.

It’s been a wild month for Utah. Alta having only 1 inch of snow forecasted in the next 10 days... Ooooof. That’s tough.

There was straight up brown dirt showing for about 50 feet at WP last weekend.

The groomers are still a lot of fun. I have fun when I ski in November, pretty sure I can have fun in the winter dry spells.

I’m a skier and a snowboarder. Any skier who says shite to me when I’m on my snowboard.. I tell them to go to Alta.

Hit up Beaver Creek today. I expected nothing considering how little snow we’ve had, but it was great. No lift lines, soft snow on the edges of the ungroomed runs, and easy parking at Arrowhead. The new McCoy park is probably the best beginner section I’ve seen so if people are looking for a family spot, it’s worth a look.

Check out the Birds of Prey 101 video on YT. I’ve skied those runs before and they aren’t super difficult when ungroomed, but man are they steep. I could not imagine pointing skis straight down and hitting the jumps like the World Cup guys do. Standing on the edge of the jumps all I could think was “youve got to be effin kidding?!?” That’s some elite level stuff.

This pattern is finally going to break mid month. Should get snowier for the end of the month. So Mardi Gras skiers should be happy.

36,000 vertical feet at Vail today, first chair to last.

Didn't wait in a Lift line all day.

Had a bad wipeout dropping into Lovers Leap. Those cornices are much larger than they were last year

A month or so of mainly high pressure has led to low tide, but great stability and weather to head high into the Tetons. Here's my visual spraydown of some of the action.

Skiing big, scary lines is cool and all, but how about some pow skiing? PRAY4SNOW

Felt like I covered a lot of terrain at Breck today. I hate snowboarders. The hike up off the Imperial Chair was exhausting so I only went up there once.

I don’t hate snowboarders. I envy their lack of equipment. They’re always appreciative to get a slingshot on a catwalk. My good friend rides and we always have great days.

I hate it when shitty snowboarders heel scrap the entire run because they suck.
