watched the linked videos but a little more than I'm willing to test for everything he did. Will make sure lines are tight but likely going to b*&ch out a call a plumber. Damnit!

Did you follow the instructions to light the pilot?
Turn the gas off, turn to light and push down on the button then press the button to light. At least that’s the way most are.
