because fema saw the reciept for buying it and gave people a check to cover it, they did it with chainsaws as well, all completely free from fema but, then you go return it and get a refund and you just got a free $800-$900 from fema

the idiots at the store shouldnt be taking them back since putting oil and gas in it voids the warranty

What they should be doing is turning over the names of these people to FEMA to see if they defrauded the government out of $800.

Do you mean it’s voided if returned and resold? What good is a warranty if it’s voided the second it’s used

Sounds like the ones returned were never opened or taken out of the box, so no oil or gas. They got a receipt, returned the item unopened and got a FEMA claim.
Most of these were probably bought by people who already had a generator and just wanted free money.
