give me something more specific because Miles has recruited arguably as well, has a better record, and can actually come back in a game that his team is down by more than 10 points.

big deal, the way Miles is rolling right now he will have a better record at LSU than they have at their respective schools.

Meyer went undefeated at both schools. That's enough for me.

I'd have to agree Saban is the best coach in the SEC. The biggest reason why is he built LSU to what they are today, Miles hasn't done that. Also, hes looking good at Bama so far. But I think its ludicrous to not consider Miles in the top 5 coaches in the NCAA. I can live with you saying Tubberville/Meyer are better coaches but not Richt/Spurrier. Spurrier was great in his day, not anymore. And Richt has done absolutely nothing but choke when they were suppose to win it all. Meyer, I think is the best young coach in the game and I think Tubberville does the most considering his talent. Not to say Auburn isn't talented but they don't exactly get the "elite" prospects in the country every year.

That was a very safe play call. An out pattern is hardly a dangerous call. Lafell ran a perfect route and turned a first down pass play into a touch down.
It was gutsy call, but was not risky by any means.
And Lee had more than already redeemed his earlier brain fart and had earned his stripes for the night long before he made that throw.

Not overall, and I think Meyer's record improves while Miles' goes down a bit.

If I'm not mistaken, Meyer calls the plays, while Crowton does it for LSU.

Tommy Bowden did once too. Anyway, i'm not really trying to argue this, Les 2 Meyer 1... head to head. Meyer went undefeated at BG???

To answer your original post, since you get payed nothing to evaluate football and he gets paid at least 40 times your accountant salary to do this, I think you are the idiot on this subject. Next, you continually point out our great kicker, but leave out Les counting on the score and then rely on one of the best defenses in the nation. Lastly, Les went to assure a win instead of hoping for it. Now last years auburn game was mind boggling, but this years was a masterpiece from the playcalling perspective. Quit bitching and give the staff its credit. Great win tonight and the staff called one hell of a game. Also, I did not miss pelini one bit on that final drive

Miles is a good coach but the who is better argument is old and tired; however, as a CFB enthusiast I hate his play calling (they are just not high percentage plays) but I am nore of a 3yds and a cloud of dust kind of guy.

wow...in the SEC Miles' record is definitely better over there three years...if you really want to throw Urban's mountain west and mac records against les' record at one of the weaker schools in a strong conference then go right ahead

Nope, I was wrong. I believe he only had two losses each year there.

I have no problem with the onside kick or the HB pass. The kick was a great call imo, nobody expected that. This call was dumb and a typical Miles/Crowton call.
FWIW, if I was an accountant, I'd off myself.

Obvious homer.
Meyer was fricking incredible at Bowling Green and Utah, there is nothing he had done before coaching LSU that compares to Meyer pre-Florida.
LOL at the idiot.
This is what I concluded at the time when LSU got Miles and Florida got Meyer...
Before LSU hired him, Coach Miles was the head coach at OSU. During 1998, 1999, and 2000, OSU finished 5-6, 5-6, and 3-8. Then Miles took over and went 4-7 his first year, but then went 8-5, 9-4, and 7-5. Miles beat a top 15 team during each of his first 3 years: #6 Oklahoma (2001), #5 Oklahoma (2002), and #13 Kansas State (2003).
As for Urban Meyer, his first head coaching job was a two-year stent at Bowling Green. In 1998, 1999, and 2000, Bowling Green was 5-6, 5-6, and 2-9. Then Urban Meyer took over and went 8-3 and 9-3.
Then Meyer coached at Utah for two years. In 2001, 2000, and 2002, Utah was 4-7, 8-4, 5-6. Then Meyer took over and went 10-2 and 12-0.
Not only has Meyer never beaten a top 15 team, but he hasn't even beaten a Top 25 team.
In my opinion, Meyer is a much bigger gamble than Miles (but sometimes gambling pays off big). Sure Meyers turned two programs around without even needing a year to re-build, but neither of his teams ever beat a team that finished in the Top 25. However, the scary thing about Meyer is that he was a WR coach in the NCAA for 12 years. Then, in his first two-year head coaching stent at Bowling Green, Meyer's QB was Josh Harris, who was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens. And during his two years at Utah, Meyer's QB was Alex Smith, who was just taken as the #1 overall draft pick by the San Francisco 49ers. I don't think NFL scouts care who your coach is or how you were coached, they just care about how well your natural abilities would fit into the pros. But, Meyer has show that he can win if given a talented QB, and Florida always gets talented QBs.
The other big gamble about Meyer is that he is only 40 years old, making him just two years older than the youngest head coach in NCAA division IA football. On the other hand, if the gamble pays off, then Meyer will have plenty of time to create another dynasty at Florida. I think most of it depends the quality and experience of the assistant coaches Meyer will be be able to surround himself with.
As for Miles (age 51), he is a much safer bet.

Saban's building our house now, not yours. Les has reaped the benefits of Saban and the playing field will become even shortly. Then we will see what your retard does.
